Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actor in the United States has appeared in several television series. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents fled to the US which they received asylum. She was raised by her two sisters and two sisters in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her TV career with a role in National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in the Laura Neri production A Kiss on the Nose (2003). For her performance, she won at the Cannes Film Festival for the Best Actress Award. Television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells, NUMB3RS bones, Psych as well as Castle. The most recent role she has played is the role of a supporting character in Blood Shot, (2009) which is based on the science fiction film Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her career in General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital called Night Shift Ghanizada played the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra who is a holistic doctor. In 2009, Ghanizada appeared as Kelly who was a Prada saleswoman on HBO's Entourage and was a part of in the cast of the tv series pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan, as well as executive producer T Bone Burnett.
